We are most grateful to the doctors both at the Civil and Nethersole Hospitals for their kind care of our sick ones.
1901.- The New Building for the Home and for the residence of two ladies is nearing completion. It is upon a hill near the Native city of Kowloon. We hope to move into it in the early Autumn, and we would earnestly solicit donations towards cost of moving and furnishing as well as increased subscriptions to the general fund, as with greater accommodation we hope to extend our work and help a larger number of these children into a happier, healthier, higher life.
1902.- We moved into our new premises in Kowloon near the Chinese city early in December, and are thankful for a decided improvement in the health of the girls. We trust that the change to a semi-country life will be beneficial in many ways.
1913.- For the last few years we have wished that the school might be enlarged. To-day the extension is an accomplished fact and we are grateful to all kind donors who have helped to build the new wing.
1914.- We have often felt the need of more space in the garden where the children could play and especially so since the new wing was built and left still less room. In July the Colonial Government extended our grant of land. It is now being enclosed and when finished will be a permanent benefit to the children of the Home.
That gives chronologically the growth and building expansion of the Victoria Home and Orphanage, and the record deserves to be preserved.
A site in the same neighbourhood has been granted by the Government, and the move will take place when the new premises have been completed.
